Light provides the energy for Photosyntesis.
This practical task looks at the effect of light on photosyntesis. Its is done a bit different from the original 4.3 as we meassure the volume of gas instead (its more accurate and gives good data to practice data use)
You will need.
Lamps
Water bath /Tank
Boiling Tubes
Aquatic plants
Meassuring tubes
Funnels
Clothespin
4 plants are placed in funnels.
A meassuring tube is placed over
Different light levels are setup
Meassure the volume of gas in the meassuring tube
Start the timer
After a defined time, meassure the change in volume of air.
This will be a representation of O2 production.
