Hypothesis and variables for paper 2

 In the IGCSE Marine syllabus, the AO3 part of the goals are:

students should be able to:

• plan experiments and investigations

 • make and record observations, measurements and estimates 

• interpret and evaluate experimental observations and data 

• evaluate methods and suggest possible improvements.

This will be tested in paper 2

for this to work, we need to work on the vocabulary of the scientific method:

My Hypothesis is based on prior knowledge and should link the variable that is beeing observed to the variable that is beeing meassured. We should be able to choose the right range and interval of the independent variable

Thende ipendent variable: The one that will be changed, and the dependent variable, the one that will be meassured.

We also need to look at standardised variables, to make sure that everythingh else is beeing kept as constantr as possible.
